Workshop at UUCSF “Re-imagining God in the 21st Century:”
For many of us the term “God” comes with emotional baggage and fixed conceptions…Yet, how may the term be understood, experienced, and reconciled with the age of modern science? And how can we, in our daily lives, relate to the Divine in a way that is psycho-spiritually empowering to prepare us better for the great changes ahead? Join us for this fascinating exploration!

Talk at Unity San Francisco on the “The Dark-Skinned Mother Goddess: Symbol of our Times?”
We are living at a critical juncture in time and history. What inspirations can we draw from dark-skinned representations of the Divine Feminine at this time of great change? And how we may access the empowering energies, wisdom, and symbols of the archetypal “Black Mother” across cultures? This will be an informative and experiential exploration that will focus primarily on the Black Madonna and the goddess Kali in India’s Shakta tradition. The presentation will also include a brief guided meditation. Join us and be prepared for some astonishing insights!

Why is the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine/Goddess in our times so important? And what are the inspirations and empowering messages we can draw from her? The Goddess is known by innumerable names and symbol-rich manifestations across cultures. Throughout the ages she has been honored and worshipped as the Virgin Mary, Isis, Demeter, Ishtar, Kali, Oshun, Lakshmi, Kuan Yin, and Pele to mention just a few. Come and join us on this journey into the Heart of the Divine Feminine!

Isabella Price

Isabella Price, MA, is an international speaker, higher education professional, and the author of the "One Truth, Many Paths" book series on unitive spirituality. She teaches the "World Spirituality" course at JFK University in the Consciousness and Transformative Studies program. For over 25 years, Isabella has been offering classes and workshops at universities, colleges, adult education centers, and various religious venues. Her presentations have helped thousands of participants to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of other cultures and religious traditions. The positive feedback she received over the years has motivated her to write the "One Truth, Many Paths" book series. Isabella has traveled extensively and participated in numerous rituals from diverse wisdom traditions. She holds an MA in the humanities from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She is also a certified SQ21 Spiritual Intelligence coach and teaches meditation to veterans suffering from PTSD and other community members.
